Well tonight I had the best time with my little neighbours. I have known their family for years and I shot their mom and dads wedding over 5 years ago already. Wow, time flies. Anyway, it was a fun but challenging shoot. Fun cause it was with adorable kids. Challenging because one of them was a boy and he was 2, lol. Now I am not saying anything bad against Nate. He is so adorable. He's just a boy that is 2. I have been through this 3 times with my own. They are so busy and really want nothing to do with sitting for cameras. He also is totally in love with his hat and it was a challenge to get any shot of him let alone without his precious hat. Then there is his beautiful sister Lainie, who looks just like her mom I might add. She is so comfortable in front of the camera and reminds me of a young Nicole Kidman. A total little doll. I love the serious shots of her but don't worry mom and dad, there's plenty of adorable smiley ones as well. I hope you guys enjoy them. Thanks for making the drive over. Even if it is only a few miles down the road, lol. PS:I posted my very favorite picture of the bunch first. I don't know where I will put it but I definitely want a big canvas for my office. How fantastic is she?!?
Oh the door one is just too cute! With the two of them, and the one on his own. You must have been sweating by the time you were done chasing him around! Shooting kid sessions is the best workout ever.
(09.23.09 @ 12:12 AM)Great pictures of my grandkids Sharon. Thanks.
(09.23.09 @ 07:27 AM)Amazing Sharon...thank-you so much!!! Ohhhh, Nater Tater!!!
(09.23.09 @ 07:47 AM)Wow! Some of those first few shots of Lainie sure don't look like the little grade 1 girl that I pick up every morning for school, she looks so grown up!
(09.23.09 @ 06:25 PM)Beautiful Pictures of Beautiful Children !!!!
(09.25.09 @ 08:36 AM)Wow, Lainie sure looks like she knows what shes doing. And the vintage look of the Photo of Nate smiling alone looks great. Also really liked the one of Nate through the truck window

These next few shots are in honor of Mike and Leslie's Anniversary. They are similar to some wedding day photos that they have.

I just love this shot. Michael can make Leslie laugh so easily. Isn't that what life is all about?!?
If you have been here for photos or just follow my blog you've probably seen our family cat "Boots" in some of the images. He's so nosey and always has to come and check things out. Sam is so sweet and I think animals are automatically drawn to her.
Lane is such a great kid. You can tell he's going to be just like his dad. Really tall and really easy going!
And I have saved the best for last. This shot was all Sam and Lane's doing. Their ideas totally and I think its great! Way to go guys!
Love all of them Sharon!! Had a great time spending our anniversary with you!!

These first shots were done on a small cowhide that they have. Love It!!
This next one he even gave us a smile. My Grama always used to say that meant they were dreaming of angels.

Okay these next shots are my favorites. Mom was a rodeo princess and so we decided to use her saddle that she won. I absolutely love these and baby curled up just perfectly!!

We also used Grama's rocking chair when she was little. Love it!
And finally we are ending with a shot of mom, dad and baby that is so sweet as well as a couple of Miss J. She's just over a year and quite a busy young lady already. It was hard to get her sitting still enough and looking at the camera long enough but I captured this one and think she looks adorable.

Awww!!! What a beautiful family!!!
(08.28.09 @ 09:46 AM)Wow so proud of my baby brother and his amazing wife!!!
(08.30.09 @ 11:54 AM)Hey what do you do to keep those babies sleeping while you take pictures...............too cute..........great job.

Lovin these first few snuggly pix of Jody and Glen.

How adorable is mom's little one. I think I might have just fed her a gummy. That made her smile.
The girls liked Peek a Boo through the old truck window.
Now on to some shots of just the girls. There are a few that are repeats with just a different technique applied to them but loved them all so I am posting them all.
Adorable!

SOOC!
Technique #2

For the last one, thought I'd end with the silouette. Love it.Enjoy!!
I'm starting with a shot I love of everyone in front of Grampa's homestead. It sure was a great old house and the kids told stories about Grampa shingling the roof when they were little and scaring them to death when he fell off.
The kids are slowly starting to warm up. I love this shot with the flowers. Getting kids involved in an activity always helps get a great shot.
And just for fun, a little peak-a-boo through the flowers.
The shy "Miss L" suddenly not so shy and totally fine with a photo just of her. She even struck a little pose. How adorable is she?!?
Anyone that knows me knows I love an old house and this one was no different. Look at the great blue colors and the fantastic wallpaper. I just love the vintage feel of this photo and the next few coming up.
Brothers. Love, love, love this serious shot of the boys! They were so sweet I could have easily taken them home.
Miss M is such a great kid and always had a smile on her face. I had to force her to not smile in this shot but I love it!
Okay, I know I keep using the word love tonight but I totally love this group shot. The light is just so pretty.
And here's the lady that organized this whole thing and her boys. Its too bad that dad had to work but now he will have a great shot of his family for his desk. Carla was super nice. I liked her right off the bat and know if she was living out here we'd definitely be grabbing a coffee now and then. Thanks for getting everything together Carla. :)
Cousins!
Snuggling with Grampa.
I just had to throw this shot in. Sometimes in order to get the shot you want, you have to let the kids have a little fun. Isn't that what its all about anyway? We even got Grampa involved in this one. Too funny.
I don't even think anyone knows about this last shot. It was actually one of the first shots I took when everyone was surveying the yard with Grampa in the lead. It just seems so natural. Thanks again everyone for the great time.Ok, you had me crying from picture one. I've been wanting to do this for a long time and today was awesome and these pictures are fantastic!! You've brought to life exactly what I wanted. And yes, coffee would definitely be on, from one sentimental gal to another!
(08.13.09 @ 02:57 AM)Wow! Great photos! The grandkids are all so beautiful. And the "kids" aren't too bad either :) Your Dad looks great! What a wonderful collection of photos to cherish.
